Extraordinary times require innovative solutions to ensure we can collect waste material at volume and quickly replace the used containers with clean ones.

Impact from COVID-19 has seen our clinical and medical waste services to the healthcare sector increase to three or more daily collections just to keep up with the volume of material generated. With customers including hospitals, medical centres, aged care facilities, the challenge has included not only having enough trucks and drivers, but also bins and collectors to be able to provide clean and sanitised bins.

Despite increasing restrictions and difficulty with staff and services moving across state borders, the team have pulled together working long hours to support vital health customers with the surge in demand.

Infrastructure and innovation to scale our services

Critical to maintaining our service is a sufficient supply of clean containers with enough trucks to collect and deliver them. Since we opened our plastic collector manufacturing facility in St Mary’s, NSW, our clinical waste containers are 100% made in Australia, which means we’re able to scale supply on relatively short notice.

Extraordinary times require innovative solutions to ensure we can collect waste material at volume and quickly replace the used containers with clean ones. This includes switching out container types when inventory is running low and repurposing different types of trucks to collect and deliver them.
