Gender equity

At Cleanaway, we want all our people to feel like they belong, are valued and rewarded for their unique differences. We want to ensure that regardless of gender, everyone has the same resources, opportunities and rewards.

We want to see greater gender parity within all areas of the business with representation of women in operational and management roles significantly increased. We are also committed to ensuring that we continue to improve our representation of women in traditionally male dominated areas, such as driving, and likewise, males in traditionally females focussed areas, such as human resources.

In FY22, we challenged ourselves to achieve at least 40% women in the executive team (defined as CEO 1) by 2027. This target has been raised to challenge ourselves further to include at least 40% of women in leadership roles (defined as CEO 2) by 2030.

As an organisation, we are making significant strides toward our goals, and while there is more progress to be made, we are confident in our positive momentum and commitments.

We’re always looking for talented women to join our team – check out our current opportunities here.

Driver Academy

The Driver Academy focuses on women, female-identifying and non-binary persons who have never driven a truck before. Part of this academy is an extensive training program that includes obtaining a heavy vehicle license, learning the ins and outs of what it’s like to be a heavy vehicle driver, and how to operate a heavy vehicle. You will also be mentored by experienced drivers to support you in your Cleanaway journey.
