National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative to highlight the risk of road incidents and ways to reduce them. At Cleanaway this is even more significant with the number of drivers we have on the road, and the varied environments we operate in to provide an essential service.
Cleanaway teams from across Australia committed to making road safety a priority by pledging to drive so that everyone can go Home Safe every day, drive like their loved ones are on the road ahead and to remove all distractions while driving.
Our branches, offices and sites took the time to reflect on their safety commitment by signing pledges and displaying them on notice boards and in their vehicles.
Solids
Our team of drivers from our Bunbury depot in Picton WA came out in full force for this group photo holding their signed pledge for road safety.
Cleanaway Daniels
For the Cleanaway Daniels team, managing healthcare waste day in and day out means safety is a value they never take for granted. Teams from across Australia committed to looking after themselves and others on the road by driving safely and ensuring that their vehicles are always in a serviceable condition so that everyone goes Home Safe every day. Pictured here are teams from Mitchell in ACT, Yatala in QLD, Bibra Lake in WA, Silverwater and Unanderra in NSW, and Laverton and Dandenong in VIC.
Industrial & Waste Services
Our Industrial & Waste Services team in Whyalla are holding up their signed pledges to be mindful when operating their vehicles, against the backdrop of our vacuum loader truck – an impressive and challenging vehicle to operate!
Regional Manager Scott Collins visited our Industrial & Waste Services team in Karratha where the team made a pledge to “drive as if their loved ones were on the road ahead.” The team chose the pledge because it reflected the importance of family and how it is the cornerstone of all their lives in some way, shape or form.
The team signed a group pledge and each driver individually signed their own pledge as well. To remind them of their commitment to safety on the road, every driver will place the pledge in their vehicles throughout the week.
Liquids and Hydrocarbons
Check out the wall of pledges at our Hydrocarbons office in Bentley, Perth, WA.
Our team at Barrow Island are a busy bunch with many driver operators moving between facilities to ensure that our oil and gas customer’s operations remain smooth. We provide the customer with a comprehensive waste management service including the collection, processing, treatment and disposal of all solid waste, recycling and liquid waste.
The team got together for a group photo and signed a pledge to always make safety a priority despite their busy schedule, so that everyone can go Home Safe to their loved ones every day.
Whether they are entry level, managers or in a hands-on role, our people are committed to take responsibility for our personal safety, as well as that of our team in everything that we do. We are committed to Goal Zero, because everyone deserves to go Home Safe, every day.
